On the contradiction between climatic difference of WBGT and patient number

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify why WBGTs are not coincided with patient number of heat-stress. And it is emphasized that discomfort index is more familiar than WBGT..On the nomograph of WBGT the author tried to demonstrate climograph tocompare monthly WBGTs of Okinawa, Tokyo Sapporo, Madras and Los Angels. While the WBGTs of Okinawa are larger than those of Tokyo, the patient number of heat-stress in Okinawa is smaller than in Tokyo. Finally, the author suggests that WBGT shuld be revised by sweat gland(S).
