Abstract
Geopark activity begins from the discovery of local nature treasures, for example, beautiful landscape, attractive geological phenomena, landform, plant distribution, etc. Then people try to explain the mechanism or origin of such geological and geographical phenomena borrowing the aid of scientist. After that visitors are able to enjoy the nature of each geopark. Therefore, though geopark activity is expected to be useful for education of disaster prevention, the author considers it is important for the education of natural history, to understand history of the earth’ environment or to enjoy nature landscapes.
