Abstract
This study aims to develop a geographical method to understand
subjective activities of local farmers to be focused on the diversity of
cropping system in rural area of northern Namibia. In this study, households’
data were collected using three different types of methodologies; aerial photos
taken by Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), semi-structured interview, and a mental
map drawn by farmers. As a result, obvious differences were observed among data
collected by three different methodologies. This result showed a possibility of
application of multiple survey methodologies to enhance researchers’
understanding toward farmers’ creative and subjective activities.
