Abstract

Henoko/Oura, Nago, Okinawa has biodiversity-rich environments. To provide a replacement facility for the Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, onshore construction and a drilling survey has started at Henoko and Oura Bay last year.This landfill construction would give fatal damage to this area. The problems regards to the Environmental Impact Assessment and the Landfill permission process is to be discussed.
