Abstract
JMA:Tokyo observational site relocated to Kitanomaru Park, which is around 900m west of present site, in December 2014. In order to clarify the effect of relocation on the diurnal temperature variations in summer, hourly temperature in both sites were used for the analysis. The results show summer mean temperature at Kitanomaru site is almost same as that of Otemachi site (former site) around ten years ago (2000-04). The temperature difference at both sites became larger during the night, which would have been caused by the cool air seeping from Imperial Palace garden.
