The diurnal variation curve of the station air-pressure due to the heat island in Tokyo in summer: Comparison in 1950-1969 and in 1990-2009

Abstract

We discussed the diurnal variation of the station air-pressure due to the heat island in Tokyo in summer and compared it in ssion i1950-1969(1st period) with that in 1990-2009(2nd period). We obtain the results that in th 1st period daytime air-pressure depression is clearly observed, but in the 2nd period,it is not so clear. Nocturnal air-pressure in the 1st period tends to rise a little,but in the 2nd period to depress.
