Abstract

Climate variation of East Asia in the Little Ice Age was reconstructed.
Wind hazard record in the 19th century of China and Japan are used as the main data.
Gufu which appears in the coastal area of the Central and South China shows the tropical cyclone like the rainstorm of Japan.
The annual change of its appearance is early in China, but late in Japan.
This is based on the influence of Pacific high pressure.
Moreover, the appearance in the 19th century tends to conflict in China and Japan.
From this, it was considered that the Pacific high pressure was weak around 1840, but it was strong around 1860.
