Abstract
British National Park Authorities and the Countryside Agency/ the Natural England have pursued the substantiation and optimization of their management under the zoning system. The Land Management Initiatives from 1999 to 2004 promoted it.
Integration of the farm and local/rural community was enhanced. Partnership among the stakeholders is another characteristic of them. The long-term activities of the National Trust in Snowdonia are investigated. Its consistent activity is embedded with the wide-range trust by the public. These approaches help foster
social capital and capacity building of local action groups in the national park areas.
