Abstract
In geography class of high school, teaching practice of students of Chile Free studies using GIS software (ArcGIS) is made,its effect has been verified. Using GIS software, students create a thematic map that suits its own research theme. This is related to the geographical skills. While the discussion from the thematic maps, students were advanced the research. Students was discussion of " distribution, location, regional difference ", discussed in the next for the "comparison and cause of the event, scale, change." This is consistent with the geographic perspective. This classroom is also significance as active learning.
