Abstract
Dehydration processes under various thermal conditions in urban were numerically simulated and it was related to discomfort index. In this study, nocturnal dehydration during clear nights in August was analyzed for 4 sites in Osaka prefecture. The relationships of nocturnal dehydration to discomfort index have the variable slopes by apparently influenced by the sky view factor. Increases of dehydration against the criteria under warmest condition without discomfort in thermal sensation and regulatory sweat were estimated by sky view factor and meteorological data. This simplified method to estimate dehydration gave only 60-90 ml of RMSE.
