A method is represented to reconstruct typhoon tracks around Japan from 1901 to 2000. Using August daily rainfall data of two stations (Miyazaki and Ooita), we defined a typhoon accompanied by orographic rain band in Eastern Kyushu during the 20th century. The result showed that the typhoon number has decreased rapidly after 1950. It is likely due to the southwestward shift of the North Pacific subtropical high after 1950. We also performed correlation analysis between monthly rainfall in August and reconstructed typhoon numbers. The result suggested that region with a significant correlation between them has shifted southwestward after 1950.

Some international organisations advocate the green growth/economy. The notion of green growth/economy chiefly addresses the national economy so that less attention has been paid to the present situations and their consequences of such green growth/economy at the regional level. The purpose of the present study is to identify effects of environmental technology policies on regional green establishments and jobs in Sweden. As a result, using the panel data analysis, it was revealed that the Swedish environmental technology strategy along with regional economic conditions and political environments influenced green establishments and jobs at the regional level.

Addition to mountaineering, trail running, and navigation sports are gaining popularity.
The diversification of utilization of mountains as sports arena might deteriorate
risk management for mountaineering. It is pointed out that more people climb
mountains without appropriate knowledge and skill easily ask rescue because of
minor reasons. Extreme mountain sports might be another source of anxiety. I
will review the situation of mountain sports from the view point of risk and
will discuss how we improve risk management from organizational side and
enlighten individual mountaineers or people engage in activities among mountains
on risk competency among mountains.

Three desktop globes called hitler’s globe are known in the world. One is a metal semi-meridian desktop globe looted by Barsamian from Berghof on 10 May 1945; its height is 45.7cm, diameter, 33.2cm.; wooden column and two-staged plain pedestal (hereafter, Barsamian globe). Of the other two globes, one globe was shot in Hitler’s residence in Muenchen, and the other is kept in the USAREUR. Former two are very similar in shape and dimensions, and the other was estimated as fake (Utsunomiya, 2012). The author examined many photos shot by photojournalists and others. Scherman and Lee Miller took many photos at hitler’s residence in Muenchen (from 30 April to 3 May 1945) and Obersalzberg (perhaps May 4, immediately after the occupation). In Scherman’s photo of hitler’s desk, too much props and descriptions set to remind dictators and Chaplin's movies, and the globe shot by Scherman which was nearly equal to the Barsamian globe was not left in hitler's residence after their departure and its existence has been unknown. By the careful photo-interpretation of these props, and their behavior, we can recognize that almost of objects were purposely set up. It is inevitable to understand that the globe was brought in from the outside and put on the hitlers’ desk in Munich, and was placed in the room of normal temperature after vanishing of flame in the Berghof by this photojournalist. Therefore the metal semi-meridian desktop globe looted by Barsamian is natural to estimate to be fake. Though more information is in Japanese abstract, original is shown in my publication "An Introduction to the study of terrestrial globes" (in Japanese) scheduled to be published this summer.

Dehydration processes under various thermal conditions in urban were numerically simulated and it was related to discomfort index. In this study, nocturnal dehydration during clear nights in August was analyzed for 4 sites in Osaka prefecture. The relationships of nocturnal dehydration to discomfort index have the variable slopes by apparently influenced by the sky view factor. Increases of dehydration against the criteria under warmest condition without discomfort in thermal sensation and regulatory sweat were estimated by sky view factor and meteorological data. This simplified method to estimate dehydration gave only 60-90 ml of RMSE.
