Abstract
UNESCO endorsed the establishment of IGGP (International Geosciences and Geopark Programme) integrating IGCP (International Geosciences Programme) and Global Geopark. This presentation will introduce current status of the geopark activity in the world and discuss the influence on activity which results from formalization of geopark in UNESCO.
