Toward the Practice of “Geography General” based on Inquiry Process in High School

Abstract

The author thinks that the goal of geography education is to bring up the citizenship. So he thinks that geographical perspective and way of thinking will become one of the important factors in new subject “Geography General” of New Course of Study.

Taking these into consideration, he tries to reveal the possibility of geographical perspective and way of thinking for bringing up citizenship in this presentation. And he tries to propose the annual curriculum and teaching plan based on the inquiry process in “Geography General”
