Abstract
Through a comparison to environmental sciences, I reviewed outreaching activities on geography to utilize its outcomes for policy making, which I have experienced before, e.g. the systematization of counteractions on urban heat island as a supporting activity for administrative sectors which was world-widely evaluated, and editing process of GEO (Global Environmental Outlook) reports of UNEP. And I showed some relevant recommendations. Nowadays research activities are supported with not a little public fund and outreaching activities of scientific works are not only “one way social contributions” but also the processes reviewing research activities and strengthening them. Especially, feedback of reactions from other stakeholders to research activities is important.
