Major disasters have been occurring in the Asia and Pacific region every year. In the time of disaster, accurate decipherment of the disaster affected area is important for emergency relief and response activities. Therefore, it is important to contribute to the field of disaster management using space technology, such as providing satellite images and analysis maps.
Since 2007, a lot of satellite images and analysis maps have been provided through the activities of Sentinel Asia. In this activity, research institutions and DRR organizations in each country have been strongly cooperating with each other to provide continuous support to the affected areas.
