Abstract
English for Occupational English (EOP) refers to a specialized field of teaching and learning English that is in a specific context of addressing the needs of people in the workplace. The current research paper is aimed at improving the communication abilities of International Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) employees in Tamil Nadu, who depend extremely on communication in the workplace. The proposed research will examine the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom model in enhancing the oral communication skills of the participants by utilizing this approach in teaching. There is an integrated mixed-method approach to collect both quantitative data in the form of pre- and post-assessments and qualitative data in the form of interviews with a sample of BPO professionals. With the Flipped Classroom, the research gives an insight into how the method can be used to improve speaking skills in addition to meeting the linguistic needs of BPO workers. The research is expected to deliver practical suggestions and solutions for English language instructors to maximize language learning results among EOP learners. Consequently, they are becoming increasingly employable within the ever-changing sector of international BPO.
