Abstract

Patient: The patient was a 63-year-old male who came to our hospital with the chief complaints of his dentures being easy to detach, dysfunction and poor esthetics. The maxillary bone was thin and the vertical height to the maxillary sinus was insufficient, so a full denture for the maxilla and implant-supported fixed prostheses for the mandible were provided as the final prosthesis.

Discussion: By using a copy denture, stable mandibular position tracing was possible. In addition, we considered that by selecting an implant-supported prosthesis for the mandible, we were able to obtain strong occlusal support for the bilateral molars.

Conclusion: Application of a full denture in the maxilla and an implant-supported prosthesis in the mandible resulted in a successful clinical outcome.
