Patient: A patient was a 50-year-old man who visited our hospital with a chief complaint of repeated dislodgement of the maxillary anterior fixed partial denture and had difficulty with mastication. The patient exhibited generalized low clinical crown height, making it challenging to achieve adequate retention for prosthetic devices. To address this, bite raising was performed using a treatment denture to improve the clinical crown height, thereby enhancing esthetics.
Discussion: Bite raising was performed gradually using a treatment denture, with sufficient observation periods established at each stage of removable and fixed provisional prostheses. This careful evaluation is considered to have contributed to achieving a high level of patient satisfaction and favorable long-term outcomes.
Conclusion: Good results were obtained by performing bite raising to correct the clinical crown height in a case of insufficient anterior clearance.
