Abstract

(1) Library as the social organ.
The traditional library science regarded the library as a means of social education and studied its function only the educational point of view. Accordingly, the library science have submissively held a position as one category of the pedagogy.
On the other hand, considering the librarys in its relation with the society, modern library science is going to study its proper function as the separate social organ and to make the library science independent from the pedagogy.
Butler, Martin, Shera and Egan indicate this view of Modern library science in their papers on the relation between the library and the society.
(2) The fundamental problem on bibliography.
Bibliography serves as the means of communication and should not be partitive and isolated from the readers.
Bibliography organization is related with the indirect communication through the mediate organ between the producer of mental products and the consumer, and it will be presented as one problem on the social constitution.
