Abstract

Islamic names have very complicated characteristics and constructions closely relating to Mohammedanism and the language of the Koran. So, many books, dictionaries and library catalogs treat these name separately in various forms and spells. Moreover, these names are divided into four kinds: Personal name, Teknonymy, Patronymic and Byname, and many of them consist of the compound words.
How to treat these names in cataloging is very difficult problem for librarians.
