Abstract

After Meiji-Ishin (The Imerial of Meiji) a import of foreign civilization had been in Japan. Now, thinking of books, the Rangaku (the study of the Dutch language) had developed as centering medicine, physics, chemistry, military affairs at the government of Edo. But natural science books were seemed to forget in comparison with import of social science and literature was very flourishing after Meiji-Ishin.
Then I explain to the state of imported foreign book which was imported the golden age of civilization between first year of Meiji (1868) and 14th years (1882).
I divide into several parts of next, namely 284 kinds, volume, binding, edition, price, original author, expression, technical term, right to translate, etc.
