Abstract

A hemin-glucose oxidase (GOD) complex was prepared by attaching hemin onto the enzyme molecule. The complex contained 3.7 hemin molecules per one GOD molecule and had an enzyme activity of 38U/mg. Chemiluminescence of luminol in the presence of hemin-GOD and glucose showed maximum at pH 8.5. The hemin-GOD complex is used for the chemiluminescent assays of glucose: the chemiluminescent intensity increases with increasing the glucose concentration (0.5-50mM).
