Crystal Structure of Bis(tert-butanol)-α,β,γ,δ-tetraphenylporphyrinatomanganese(III) Perchlorate

The structure of the title compound, [Mn(TPP)(t-BuOH)₂][ClO₄], has been determined by an X-ray diffraction method. Four N atoms of the porphyrin and two tert-butanols are coordinated to the Mn(III) ion. Long Mn-O(axial) distances of 2.299(4) and 2.287(4)Å and typical Mn-N(equatorial) distances of 1.988(4) - 1.995(4)Å lead to a tetragonal distortion. The O1-Mn-O2 bond angle is 175.06(14)°.
