The crystal of the title compound, C17H16N4O2, belongs to space group P21/n with cell dimensions of a = 14.841(1), b = 7.1537(8), c = 15.663(2)Å, and β = 114.057(4)°. The final R value is 0.055. The pyrazole ring takes a slightly twisted conformation with the two nitrogen atoms being located on the opposite side of the plane defined by three other atoms in the ring. The dihedral angle between this ring and the pyridine and benzene rings are 53.4(1) and 57.2(1)°, respectively.
