N-Protected Macrocycles with NO₂S₂ Donor Set

Abstract

The single crystals of N-protected NO₂S₂ macrocycles with tosyl (I) and Boc (II) groups were prepared and their crystal structures were analyzed. Compound I exhibits a folded and twisted conformation due to intramolecular H-bondings as well as the π-π stacking interaction. In contrast, compound II is fully stretched because of the exo-orientation of two sulfur donors to the cavity.
