Crystal Structure of 2,6-Bis(4-methylphenyl)-1-nitroso-3-phenyltetrahydro-4(1H)-piperidin-4-one

Abstract

In the title compound, C₂₅H₂₄N₂O₂, the piperidinone ring adopts its usual twist boat conformation. The crystal packing is stabilized by a three-dimensional network of C-H…O hydrogen bonds involving the carbonyl O atom. In addition, there is an intramolecular C-H…π interaction. No significant aryl-aryl interactions were observed.
