Abstract
The crystal structure of the title organic complex molecule was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis to show that it is a 1:1 host-guest inclusion complex. The crystal of the complex is monoclinic, P21/c, Z = 4, a = 11.9882(2), b = 24.1533(4), c = 12.7398(2)Å, β = 114.869(1)°, V = 3346.80(9)Å3. The guest 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane molecule is accommodated in the host framework by N-H…O, O-H…N, and C-H…π interactions. This structural feature effectively prevents hydrolysis of the guest with moisture in the air.
