The crystal structure of a novel Baylis-Hillman adduct, a 2,3,5-substituted derivative of pyridine, is reported here. The final R-value is 0.054. The structure has a chiral atom, and thus represents a racemic mixture. In the crystal packing, the molecules are linked by O-H…N intermolecular interactions.
