Crystal Structure of the Erbium Nitrate Complex with N-(2-Pyridinyl)-ketoacetamide

A solid complex of erbium nitrate with a β-diketonate-type ligand, N-(2-pyridinyl)ketoacetamide, was synthesized. The title complex was crystallized in the triclinic system, space group P1 with a = 7.4201(3)Å, b = 10.5950(5)Å, c = 11.6490(5)Å, α = 68.615(2)° β = 87.557(2)°, γ = 86.607(2)°, V = 851.03(6)ų, Z = 2. The geometry of Er(III) is a distorted tricapped trigonal prism. In the structure of the title complex, a 3D supramolecular network is formed by interactions of the hydrogen bonds.
