Inorganic networks of metal (Fe, Cu, Co) oxides were prepared using three kinds of organic polymer gels as a template and/or a reaction field in which the inorganic networks were synthesized. The inorganic networks were obtained by introducing metal ions into the organic polymer gels followed by the heat-treatment of the gel to remove the organic phase. The inorganic networks were produced during the heat-treatment process. Characterization of the produced inorganic samples was carried out in terms of produced phase, network structure, elemental distribution of the constituents, specific surface area and pore size distribution of the network by XRD, SEM with EDX, gas adsorption analysis, respectively. The organic polymer gel was found to be potentially useful as the template and/or the reaction field to produce the inorganic network rather simply at once.
