Abstract
Low toxicity and air-stable single molecular source for ZnS was demonstrated to be an appropriate reagent to synthesize high luminescent ZnS capped CdSe with narrow size distribution. Above 50% quantum yield and around 32 nm full width at half maximum of photoluminescence peak were obtainable using microreactor. Hydrophilic surface of ZnS capped CdSe nanocrystals can be realized while keeping high quantum yield. Microscopic observation showed that accurate time control is important to avoid the appearance of a great deal of isolated ZnS particles and deterioration of luminescent properties, and microreactor exhibited the great advantage on this control.
