Abstract

Based on plants from Phu Luang, a flat-topped mountain in Loei Province, NE Thailand, we provide the first description of Ophiopogon phuluangensis, sp. nov. (Asparagaceae), a species similar to O. kradungensis, which is endemic to another flat-topped mountain in Loei Province, Phu Kradueng, but differs in having narrow (1.5–2 mm wide) revolute tepals and linear bracts.
