Abstract
The aim of this research was to identify how the urban agriculture program (Kabuhayan sa Gulayan urban agriculture program) in Metro Manila is implemented, with a focus on the supportive roles of various stakeholders. This program started in order to improve the living condition of the urban poor and reduce urban waste. There are the Department of Agriculture, the Municipal Agricultural Office, the Barangays, and Non-Governmental Organizations as participants. When its attention was paid to a participant's program enforcement situation, this program has the character that the Barangays can support that “selection of farmers” and “use of compost”. The reason was thought that Barangay was administrative organization with a small-scale, it was mentioned that opinion adjustment with residents was able to be performed. It is important that Barangay participates this program.
