Abstract
This paper studied out how to locate environmental conservation rice fields considering irrigation system. We chose Tajiri town as a studied area where 20ha of winter-flooded rise production is carried on. First, interview survey was administrated to clarify farming schedule, yields, prices, variable costs, winter irrigation costs and leakage control costs. Second, regional income deference caused by land use allocation was estimated by linear programming model substituting figures from above. Regional income would become about 400 thousand yen higher in the case of income optimization than the case constrained by the present land use.
