Abstract

This research was conducted for the purpose of determining factors and indicators that influence changes in land utilization, in terms of information necessary to the formulation of land utilization plans. As a result, for factors influencing changes in land utilization, the indicators that were extracted relating to transformation of land utilization included; percentage of agricultural and forest land, population, population accumulation, percentage of paddy field land readjustment, changes in gross number of farmers, percentage of the farmer population that is aging, distance from railway stations and highways, distance from urbanizing zones, distance from large-scale retailers, and distance from large-scale factories.
