Abstract
The objective of this study was to reveal people's choice factors of drinking water sources from the viewpoint of its taste and safety. Temple well and pond that were traditional sources had high risk of diarrhea and pump wells that the state government built had low risk of it, but many people used temple well and pond for drinking. This is mainly because people didn't have proper knowledge about the risk of diarrhea by using Temple well and pond water and chose it by its taste. Without using iron pipe for well casing is very important to encourage people to use pumps whose risks of diarrhea are low.
