Abstract
This study captures different levels of solidarity of three rural communities in the Red River Delta, Vietnam, and describes how such gap has emerged with different agricultural production and management system of each community. Local agricultural system is the most important social interface for the housewives as the core agricultural labor force in the study areas, and the study illustrated that agricultural production and management systems with different degree of influence from “traditional” community caused different levels of solidarity.
