Abstract
Rural resources should be coherently evaluated in the context of local community activity. This study intends to examine socio-economic effects of rural resources by GIS spatial analyses. Through a case study on Isazawa area of Nagai city Yamagata, we found that there is a strong spatial autocorrelation among rural resources and there is increase in population, reduction of the elderly ratio, etc. in the settelement which has many of the resources. Furthermore, the effects of the resources are efficiently utilized by spatial collaboration of old and new rural resources.
