Abstract
I offered the way to set commutation exchange zones and house removal exchange zones, in which there are relatively high two-way commuter flow ratios or two-way house mover flow ratios between every two municipalities in the same zone, with applied cluster analysis. I applied the way in order to set the two kinds of zones for Tottori prefecture. There is a tendency that commutation exchange zones are formed based on the county-level livelihood zone and along main roads or train lines, and area of house removal exchange zones is narrower than that of commutation exchange zones. I presented also the way to examine the reorganization of rural activities based on the overlap of those zones under the progress of decrease of population.
