In this research, a questionnaire survey of high school students in Ishikawa prefecture was conducted to clarify the factors that elicit negative perceptions of current circumstances from high school students. We collected 3,529 valid responses. We analyzed the influence factors by assuming the hometown aging rate, the city size of future place of residence, the convenience of the living environment, and the frequency of contact with local services. Based on our analysis, we found that the hometown aging rate and availability of local conveniences significantly increased the high school students' negative perceptions.
