Abstract
One of the important objects in land replotting works is accumulation of farmlands. This paper reports the accelerating factors of land consolidation by tracing up the process of Shimodaira Land Improvement District, Nagano Prefecture, where got successful accumlation of farm lands. The accelerating factors are intensive leading by the promoters, practical planning with complate hearing and strict scheduling. Further study from the view point of change of farmland position will be done in near future by using GIS.
