Abstract
This paper focuses on the evaluation of tourism resources in rural areas viewed by tourists. The sample consisted of guests at mountain lodges“Morino le”, Nagano prefecture. Main findings include; 1) The evaluation patterns of tourism resources were classified into five, and these results correlated with the tourist's dwelling place and the number of visiting times. 2) To enhance the rural-urban exchange projects planning, taking multiple needs of tourists including rural inhabitants into the full account is necessary. 3) It was not expected to get much income from the tourism resources attracted by nature, to which, in turn, the tourists showed high evaluation.
