Abstract
The relationship between Satoyama conservation activities, consciousness of landscape conservation and the attributes in urban fringe Satoyama area is discussed in this paper. In developing area (Mt. Tennnou), the consciousness is in accordance with conservation activities in the clusters of old age which is not true in other clusters. In developed area (Mt. Otoko), the consciousness is not in accordance with conservation activities in all clusters. The relationship between the consciousness and the activities of the clusters of other ages in developing area was explained from known socio-psychological points of view. But the relationship of the clusters of old age in developing area and all clusters in developed area was not explained.
