The purpose of this paper is to compare and analyze the characteristics and effectiveness of LEGO Serious Play (LSP), which uses the world-famous LEGO bricks, with those of Playmobil Authentic Play (PAP) developed by Kozue Sato, which utilizes the Playmobil. The results of the comparative analysis revealed that PAP has a rationale and effectiveness comparable to that of LSP. Furthermore, it was found that while PAP is characterized by its emphasis on imagery to transform tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge, LSP is characterized by its use of metaphor to transform tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge.
