Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose a method of motion visualization to vary the thickness and color of the trajectory of the specific body site by reflecting the velocity, acceleration, muscle activity, etc. It is difficult to intuitively estimate the velocity, acceleration and muscle activity based on the appearance of whole-body motion. The information is necessary for controlling body movements, and are useful for detailed analysis of movements and learning of movements. There are previous studies that superimposing muscle activity, joint angles, and trajectories of specific body-site on motions of whole body, but there is no example that is the same as our proposal that represents the speed and acceleration of movement, or the degree of muscle activity by the thickness and color of the trajectory line. In this paper, the possibility of extracting features of the operation method of the skilled painters based on visualization and the utilization of the beginner to educational contents are described.
