Distribution of α₁-Antitrypsin(Pi), Transferrin(Tf) and α₂HS-Glycoprotein (α₂HS) Subtypes in Fukushima Prefecture

Abstract

The polymorphism of serum proteins (Pi, Tf and α₂HS) was studied on samples of unrelated individuals in Fukushima Prefecture. The estimated allele frequencies are as follows: Pi^M1=0.7117, Pi^M2=0.2500, Pi^M3=0.0365; Tf^C1=0.7743, Tf^C2=0.2174, Tf^B=0.0032, Tf^D=0.0051; α₂HS¹=0.7585, α₂HS²=0.2415. They were in good agreement with the data on Japanese populations presented by other investigators.
