Abstract
Trechona garimpeira n. sp. is described here, based on specimens of both sexes, collected in the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais, located in the Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil, respectively. The new species represents the first record of the genus from the Northeast region of Brazil and the “Tabuleiro” Forest ecosystem in the Atlantic Forest.
