Abstract
In order to obtain evidence as to the existence of desoxycholic acid in dog bile, a preparative analysis was carried out with 150ml of bile from 28 gallbladders.
Cholic acid and margaric choleic acid were obtained in crystallized form. Determined ratio of both acids was about 20:1.
Some discussion was presented on the findings reported in literature as to the amount of desoxycholic acid in dog bile.
