Abstract
A specimen of ectoparasitic louse fly Icosta (Icosta) longipalpis (Diptera: Hippoboscidae) was collected from a female Oriental Honey Buzzerd Pernis ptilorhynchus orientalis at Shiojiri, Nagano Prefecture, Central Japan. This is the first record of this louse fly in Japan. and from the Oriental Honey Buzzard.
