Determination of Radiographic Exposure Factors Using Simplified Fuzzy Reasoning

Abstract

Exposure factors for radiography are usually determined by radiological technologist's experience or intuition. In this paper, we propose a method to determine the radiographic exposure factors using fuzzy reasoning. Using this method, it is expected that even a novice will be able to take as good radiograph as a technologist with long experience, with minimal failure. We have obtained a better result by the simplified reasoning rather than by the usual min-max-gravity method.
